Cadillac and Lake City churches to hold Marriage Enrichment Seminar on January 23

CADILLAC, MI--On January 23, the Cadillac and Lake City Seventh-day Adventist Churches will be hosting special marriage renewal seminars in their respective communities. Aptly titled, “We Still Do”, the renewal will be focusing on commitment to your spouse and how the marriage relationship can be improved.

Presenters Royce and Laurie Snyman, a husband-wife duo, have had their own set of challenges. However, using the information inside these presentations helped renew and refresh their marriage. “When couples are intentional to practice specific biblical guidelines, marriages can thrive,” says Laurie Snyman. “Like a garden, marriages need the proverbial water, sunshine, and [sic] be weeded and fertilized. God wants to help us improve this significant relationship that he established.” she continued.

Laurie Snyman, MSW, ACSW is a licensed social worker and received her masters degree at Wayne State University and undergraduate studies at Pacific Union College. Snyman owns Awakenings Family Therapy and also works as the Ministerial Assistant at the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. She has been married to Royce Snyman over 40 years and has two grown children, Dr. Kristen Harvey and (recently adopted) Carlot Dorve. Laurie has written several books and does frequent public speaking.

Royce Snyman is the Ministerial Department Director and Coordinator of Evangelism for the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Royce has served in the Michigan Conference since 1977 after graduating from Pacific Union College, in Angwin, California, and also graduated from Andrews University Seminary with an M.Div. in 1980. He has pastored in Pontiac, Plymouth and Belleville, and Kalamazoo, prior to becoming the Personal Ministries Director at the Conference in 1993. He and his wife, Laurie, met at Pacific Union Collage. Royce and Laurie enjoy people, traveling from time to time, and birding.

Anyone is welcome to attend free of charge. The first session will be at 11am at the Cadillac Seventh-day Adventist Church, and the afternoon session will be at 3pm at the Lake City Seventh-day Adventist Church.
